Commercial Street police arrested three persons for killing a Kerala man, who was stabbed to death for not knowing Kannada while resisting a robbery attempt in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru: Kerala native, Gowtham Krishna, was killed after a late-night fight with three unidentified men near Mysore Bank Circle here on October 13. The suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Sharif, Jabir and Abbas were arrested by Commercial Street police when they were trying to sell the mobile phone, which they stole from Krishna.
They were already accused in seven other cases of robbery. They also revealed that they had stolen mobile phones from various parts of the city.

The police said that the suspects have confessed to the crime. They said that Krishna tried to resist the robbery attempt, so the gang had killed him.
Ernakulam native Krishna came to Bengaluru on October 8 in search of a job. He found a job in a private company near Halasuru police station. He had taken his friends to a bar near Majestic on October 12 night and was killed while returning home.
Krishna was taking a selfie with his friends when he was murdered. Three people, on a bike, allegedly confronted them for taking a selfie on the road. This incident led to a fight between them. Later, Krishna was stabbed to death.
Krishna's friend Vishak told the police that Krishna had answered in Malayalam, which made them angry.
They repeatedly asked Krishna whether he knows Kannada and still Krishna replied in Malayalam, and one of them in anger pulled out a knife and stabbed him. Vishak added that Krishna was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
