Bengaluru police have begun a search operation to find an Ola cab driver accused of misconduct with a woman techie.
The driver allegedly showed a porn video to the 22-year-old techie. The incident occurred on Thursday.
The young woman booked an Ola cab from Yelahanka New Town to JP Nagar. A cab numbered KA 53 C 9192 arrived to pick her up.
When the cab arrived at the Vidhana Soudha signal, the driver allegedly showed a porn video.
The woman complained to Ola customer care immediately. However, she said that the customer care was not prompt in responding to her distress call.
Subsequently, the victim filed a complaint with the Cubbon Park police station.
An Ola spokesperson released a statement regarding the incident, "We are shocked and deeply disturbed by this incident and have immediately removed the driver's access to the platform. We are standing by our customer and have extended full assistance to the police in their on-going investigation."
