Initially, there were only complaints of vomiting and his condition could not be diagnosed by the local clinics, according to reports. When he did not recover with medication for a long time, he was referred to Fortis and the doctors  convinced the parents to go ahead with the operation for the child.

Kushal's mother works in the garment factory, so could not bear the expenses of the operation. But two NGOs and Fortis Hospitals came forward to help and now thanks to the doctors and Rajinikanth's movies, the boy is recovering well.
