Atal Bihari Vajpayee: JD(S) chief Deve Gowda expresses condolences over death of former PM (Video)

After hearing news of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death today (August 16), JD(S) chief Deve Gowda expressed his condolences. Speaking about Vajpayee, Deve Gowda, who was associated with the leader for many years said, "When it comes to solving problems as a PM, I used to personally meet the leader of the opposition, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and take his advice, in matters which concerns the State. For example, while deciding about CTBT, I took Vajpayee's advise. There are several instances when he extended his cooperation to the government." Expressing his condolences, Deve Gowda said that with demise of Vajpayee, the country has lost a statesman, a politician, who believed in diverse cultures.
