Assailants hack man to death in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi

Thoothukudi: A man was hacked to death by a group of assailants in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi district. This incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Balamurugan (28). His body was taken to Thalamuthu Nagar government hospital for autopsy.

Thalamuthu Nagar police officials state that the reason behind the murder could be rivalry. The police’s based it’s theory on the fact that the deceased was earlier booked for an attempt to murder and was out on bail. To seek revenge, a rival gang might have plotted the murder. A case has been registered in Thalamuthu Nagar police station and further reports are awaited.
