Asian Games 2018: 20 Punjab Police jawans to represent India in various events

Punjab DGP Suresh Arora said that it is a matter of pride for the Punjab Police force and the jawans are expected to put on their best performance at the Asian Games 2018

Chandigarh: 20 officers of the Punjab Police will represent India in the Asian Games to be held on August 18 at Jakarta, Indonesia. 19 players and one coach will showcase their talents in 10 sports events that will be held at the Games.
 
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Suresh Arora said that it is a matter of pride for the Punjab Police force and the jawans are expected to put on their best performance.

The Asian Games is a Pan-Asian multi-sport event, and this year it is being held from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

Sports secretary-cum-Olympian Bahadur Singh has said that jawans are participating in the handball event, two players each are participating in Kabaddi, volleyball, wrestling, water sports, hockey and judo. 

Apart from these, the rest of the cops will participate in sports like wrestling, athletics, shooting and weightlifting.
