Itanagar: Floods wreaked havoc in Arunachal Pradesh after flood waters washed away at least six people and several houses in the capital complex area on Friday morning.
Flood waters submerged the Donyi Polo colony area, following incessant rains in the north-eastern Indian state, bordering with China.
Several houses have been washed away by flood waters.
According to local people, at least four people have been washed away and one body recovered from Papu Nallah near Naharlagun area in Papum Pare district.
On the other hand, six vehicles have been washed away from different places in the capital complex area.

Meanwhile, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team, district administration and police have been engaged in the rescue operation.
Locals are also cooperating in the rescue operations.
The local administration has set up two relief camps in the area.
