Army Day an occasion to celebrate jawans who broke terror's backbone with over 250 'kills' in 12 months

New Delhi: Army Day is celebrated every year on January 15 in commemoration of Field Marshal Kodandera M Cariappa's taking over as the commander-in-chief of the Indian Army in 1949.

Army Day marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation and its people.
