BJP leader and union minister Anantkumar Hegde said that sinners must not be in the administration, they should not rule. He was speaking after attending a religious programme at Manthralaya in Raichur, Karnataka. "Spiritual leaders including Raghavendra Sri have toiled for the welfare of Hindu religion. We are doing fine because of their blessings. Hindu religion is not limited to becoming virtuous or holding discussions about the religion. Instead, it is helping in the growth of tradition and culture too," he said.
