BJP chief Amit Shah addressed a gathering in Andhra Pradesh on Monday in which he said that the NDA has closed its doors to Chandrababu Naidu and BJP would not take him back.

Vizianagaram: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Monday said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would not take Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu back after the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Amit Shah was speaking at a rally in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram district.

Shah also referred to Naidu as a "U-Turn" chief minister and alluded to the Telugu Desam Party leader’s political career. Addressing the gathering, Shah said that Naidu began his political career with the Congress while it was in power and joined NT Rama Rao's TDP after the Congress' defeat. He further pointed out that Naidu joined the NDA government when Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister and left it soon after the government fell in 2004.

Speaking more about Naidu's incompetence politics, Shah said that he spent about 10 years without being part of any political organisation. "Naidu realised that he could not come to power without Narendra Modi and joined the NDA which he had opposed earlier," Shah said.

“Before Telangana elections, Naidu left the NDA and joined the Congress. This insulted the Telugu people,” Shah said.

Shah further continued by stating that when Naidu lost in Telangana, he did not stay on with the Congress for very long and hence joined the Mahagathbandhan.

Shah concluded his firm speech by saying that all doors for Naidu to enter the NDA are closed, and would not take him back as he would try to return to the BJP as soon as the counting for the upcoming elections ends.
