5 held for cow slaughter in Hapur

Uttar Pradesh police have arrested five people in Hapur over allegations of illegal cow slaughter. Police have recovered four live cattle along with the remains of dead cows from the spot.

According to reports, police raided the spot after getting a tip-off late night where they found the meat of slaughtered cows. Five people have been arrested, including a Home Guard, while ten others fled from the scene.

The five arrested have been identified as Zahir (home guard), Rizwan, Anwar, Sartaj, and Naushad.
