Telangana caretaker chief minister has declared his total assets as Rs 20.60 crore and mentioned agriculture as his profession. During 2014 elections, his property was worth Rs 16.94 crore.
Hyderabad: Telangana caretaker chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao has declared total assets worth Rs 20.60 crore without bank loans and any car. In the last elections, he had declared assets worth Rs 16.94 crore.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief had filed his nomination papers from the Gajwel Assembly constituency for elections to be conducted on December 7.
The election affidavit states that Chandrashekhar Rao's annual income has increased by over Rs 2 crore since the last election. His income for the year 2017-18 is Rs 2.07 crore. Interestingly, during 2014 elections, Rao had declared the income of 2012-13 as just Rs 6.59 lakh.
Further, in the employment section, Rao stated agriculture as his profession and gave details that he earned Rs 91.52 lakh from agriculture.
His total movable assets are valued at over Rs 10.40 crore while his wife K Shobha owns over Rs 94.5 lakh movable assets. The immovable assets amount to Rs 12.20 crore including 54-acre agriculture land worth Rs 6.50 crore.
Rao has declared that he has shares worth Rs 4.71 crore in Telangana Broadcasting Private Limited and a fixed deposit of Rs 5.63 crore in bank accounts.
He owns two houses in Hyderabad and Karimnagar, respectively worth Rs 5.10 crore together.
He owns 2.04 acres of non-agriculture land in Siddipet district worth Rs 60 lakh. Though he doesn't have any bank loans, he has liabilities in form of unsecured loans to the tune of Rs 8.88 crore.
