The girl, who was reportedly upset with her boyfriend, jumped from the third floor of the Great India Place mall in Noida
A girl committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the Great India Place mall in Noida, sector 38-A on Saturday morning.
The girl, who has been identified by as Shivangi, is a resident of Baroula village in Uttar Pradesh.
According to a suicide note found in her possession, she was upset with her relationship with a boy, whom she wanted to marry.
Shivangi, who was in her late 20s, took this extreme step after the boy allegedly had not been speaking to her for more than 2 days.
Shop-owners reported that they heard a loud noise. When they came out, they saw the girl lying in a pool of blood and immediately alerted the police.
Police rushed to the spot and recovered the girl’s body. The body was sent for autopsy and a probe is underway.
