Oratory skill and Prime Minister Narendra Modi go hand in hand. His speeches enthral the youth and old alike. His acronyms often bring smile even on the face of his opponents.
In the run up to the 2014 general election, Modi endeared to many with his speeches. As only a year is left of Modi Sarkar, we thought of looking back at his attacks on opponents with catchphrases in the last 4 years.
AK-49: Thise time, Modi took a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Modi joked about Kejriwal's 49 days' old government.
3 AKs: Soon AK-49 was passe for Modi, he coined a trininity of AKs. According to him, only 3 AKs are ‘Admired in Pakistan’ (AK 47, Cong leader AK Antony and AK-49 (Arvind Kejriwal). While the direct allegation made both Congress and AAP lose their cool, his audience broke out in laughter.
ABCD: Adarsh, Bofors, Coal and Damaad (son-in law). That was quintessential Modi doing what he loved the most ? hitting out at the Gandhis over Robert Vadra and scams during 2014.
SCAM: Samajwadi Party, Congress, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati. While campaigning for BJP during the Uttar Pradesh Election, PM Modi referred to these leaders as SCAM.
RSVP: Yes that’s another modi coinage of 2014 when he talked about ‘RSVP Model’. Expanding RSVP, he said then, it stood for Rahul, Sonia, Vadra, Priyanka. In fact, an enraged Priyanka Gandhi hit back saying, “Kabhi ABCD, kabhi RSVP. Aur kabhi da se desh aur ka se kouwa. Ba se bandh bhi to kariye.”
SABKA: Only Modi could have come up with such a term. He used this term to appeal destruction of SABKA (Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and Congress ? all the three parties).
