Due to the increasing temperature and environmental degradation, countries around the world are facing challenges in preserving groundwater. While large-scale initiatives are extremely important for making a difference, simple and everyday habits that can also make a significant difference in reducing water consumption. 

Adopt these habits to become environmentally conscious:

•    Turn off the tap in gaps between brushing teeth, shaving, or washing dishes.

•    Regularly check for leaks in faucets, toilets, and pipes.

•    If there’s small leak, call your plumber and get it fixed. 

•    Reduce your shower time. 

•    To save water, it is highly recommended to use a water and a bucket. This small habit helps save water. 

•    Install a water-saving device in the toilet tank to minimize water use during flushing.

•    Install a system where there's a sink on top of the toilet. The water from the sink is used during flushing. 

•    Collect and reuse water from activities like washing fruits and vegetables or rinsing dishes.

•    Water left from cooking or steaming vegetables can be used to water plants.

•    Collect the wastewater from RO machines and utilize that for cleaning purposes. 

•    Instead of using dishwashers, wash the dishes with your hands. 

•    Water outdoor plants early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize evaporation.

•    If you have a large garden, consider installing a drip irrigation system to save water. 

•    If you wash the spaces in front of your house with water daily, stop doing that. Instead use a broom to save water. 

•    Apply a layer of mulch around garden plants to retain soil moisture and reduce the need for frequent watering.

•    Spread awareness about the importance of water conservation.

•    Engage in group discussions in your community and share tips about saving water.
