New Delhi: "Only two people are required to better our country - you and me," echoed Major D P Singh, war hero and first Indian amputee marathoner, at the third edition of SwachhAbility Awards 2018.

Organised in association with JK Cement and Singh's organisation, The Challenging Ones (TCO) this year's event was dedicated to the brave soldiers who got disabled in the line of duty. Aptly, Maj Gen Sunil Razdan served as the guest of honour at the SwachhAbility Awards 2018.

A battle casualty during an anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir during 1994, which left him paraplegic for life, his heroic valour post the event to become the first wheel-chair bound general in the Indian Army inspired many in the audience.

Chief guest at the awards, Member of Parliament Rajeev Chandrasekhar lauded the efforts of the awardees and enunciated his journey with the initiative.
