Skincare is something that we must all adhere to regardless of our circumstances. Taking care of our skin is an important element of basic hygiene since it keeps pollutants, free radicals, and grime out of the pores. Given the pollution and harsh climate we live in, every woman should have a decent skincare routine.

A toner restores your skin's pH balance and minimizes open pores that have become enlarged due to pollution and grime. If you have a specific skin condition, such as acne or excessive sebum, a toner is important. The best aspect about toner is that it is simple to manufacture and does not require the use of pre-packaged items. Toners can actually help diminish dark patches and acne scars.

Here are 5 simple DIY toners to aid you throughout summer days:

1. Rice water toner:
This need 1/2 a cup of rice and one cup of water. Soak the rice in water for around 30 to 45 minutes. Separate the rice, then transfer the water to a spray bottle. Rice water cleanses the skin and treats acne.

2. Cucumber toner:
Our skin becomes highly irritated during the heat, so cucumber toner can help soothe it. Take 1 cucumber and 1 cup of water. Blend the cucumber and water together, then filter the mixture into a dish with a muslin cloth. This liquid can function as a toner. Pour it into a spray bottle and store in the refrigerator.

3. Potato juice toner:
This need a medium-sized potato and a cup of water. The potato and water should be blended together and the juice filtered. This toner can be used on the face after cleansing. Potato juice helps to erase dark spots and improves skin suppleness. It is one of the most effective toners for achieving an even skin tone.

4. Rosewater toner:
This toner is one of the most widely available on the market. Rosewater is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and promotes even skin tone. However, if you're doing this at home. You will need a few fresh rose petals and some water. Wash the petals thoroughly, then place them in a dish of water. Put the water on a low heat and allow it to boil until the petals lose their color.

5. Green tea toner:
To make this toner, combine green tea leaves, a cup of water, rosewater, and lemon essential oil. Boil the green tea over a low flame. When the water has taken the color of the leaves, turn off the flame and allow it to cool. After sifting the green tea, mix in rosewater and lemon essential oil. Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle and use it as a toner whenever needed. This is excellent for acne-prone skin.
