RRB Recruitment 2024: Vacancy notification announced for 7951 positions; Apply today

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced 7951 vacancies for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and other positions. Online applications are open from July 30 to August 29.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification for vacancies in Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant, and other roles. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online on the official website, indianrailways.gov.in, from July 30 to August 29. Vacancies have been announced for 7951 posts. 

Application details

According to the official notification, if a candidate needs to modify, change, or correct details after submitting the online application, they can do so by paying a non-refundable revision fee of Rs 250 for each instance. This option is available from August 30 to September 8, and it applies to details other than those provided in the form, including email ID, mobile number, and details filled in the selected RRB.

Requests for amendments to the application details must be made by September 8. The details entered in the form (including email ID and mobile number) and the selected RRB cannot be changed, and any requests for amendments after this date will not be considered by the RRB.

In this RRB recruitment, the salary for the Chemical Supervisor/Research and Metallurgical Supervisor/Research positions is Rs 44,900. For Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant posts, the salary is Rs 35,400. This does not include other benefits.

What will be the fee for filling out the RRB recruitment form?

For RRB Recruitment 2024, the application fee for General Candidates is Rs 500, with Rs 400 being refundable after deducting bank charges if they appear for the first stage CBT. Candidates from SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Transgender, Minority, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories have a fee of Rs 250, which is fully refundable after deducting bank charges upon attending the first stage CBT. Note that EBC should not be confused with OBC (Other Backward Classes) or EWS (Economically Weaker Section).
