New Delhi: After narrowly avoiding being named and shamed when singer Sona Mohapatra shared her #MeToo story, singer Anu Mallik is now battling serious allegations of being a 'paedophile'.

It all started when singer Shweta Pandit shared her sexual harassment story in the hands of Malik in 2001. Shweta alleged that Anu Malik had told her that he will give her a song with singers Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan "...but first give me a kiss now". Pandit was 15 years old at the time of the incident.

My client respects the #metoo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious."
