These steps will not only make your journey more comfortable but also help you avoid any potential inconveniences.

Do's:

  1. Visit the official Mahakumbh website (https://kumbh.gov.in/) to plan your trip and gather information about the dates of the main events.
  2. Download the Mahakumbh mobile app for easy access to important details.
  3. Pack light to ensure a hassle-free journey.
  4. If you require any essential medications, consult a doctor and carry them with you.
  5. Familiarise yourself with the locations of hospitals, food stalls, and emergency services.
  6. Only use the ghats authorised by the Mela administration for bathing.
  7. Always use the toilets available within the Mela area for hygiene.
  8. Dispose of any waste in the designated dustbins.
  9. Follow the signage placed throughout the area to navigate easily.
  10. Adhere to traffic rules and park your vehicle only in designated parking zones.
  11. Do not touch any unknown or suspicious objects. Immediately report them to the police or Mela administration.
  12. Listen to and follow the instructions announced periodically through loudspeakers.
  13. Cooperate with all the departments involved in organising the Mela.

  9. Most importantly, do not defecate in the open. Please use the designated toilet facilities.
