Last year there were only 40 cosplayers, but this year, there has been a good increase in the number of cosplayers. More than 70 cosplayers gathered on Sunday at the second edition of the Manga Planet Cosplay Walk 2019 in the city, which included Japanese consul general in Bengaluru Takayuki Kitagawa. The cosplay walk, which started off from St Mark's Hotel came to a close near St Mark's Circle.

Among the popular characters were Orochimaru, the main antagonist from Naruto, and, of course, Naruto himself, Shota Aizawa, and Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia, Akali from League of Legends, Trunks from Dragon Ball, Drow Ranger from DOTA video game, Spiderman and all kinds of Samurais.
Artistes of the comic said that the Japanese Manga comic is expected to be released by the end of the year. According to sources, the comic will be first released in Japanese and English, and after a while, it will be released in regional languages like Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.
