ISRO has scheduled the ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2024 (YUVICA) from 13 to 24 May. This programme has been tailored for class 9 students that offers two-week residential experience to students from across India.
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has scheduled the ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2024 (YUVIKA), from 13 to 24 May. This programme has been tailored for class 9 students that offers a two-week residential experience to students from across India. The objective of this initiative is to foster knowledge into space technology, science, and applications.
The registration window for the ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2024 has been started from today i.e., 20 February. The window will remain open until 20 March 2024.
The selection criteria for the programme are as follows:
1. Marks obtained in class 8 examination- 50%
2. Performance in online quiz- 10%
3. Participation in Science Fair in last three years (School/District/State and above): 2/5/10%
4. Rank in Olympiads or equivalent competitions in last three years (School/District/State and above): 2/4/5%
5. Winners of sports competitions in last three years (School/District/State and above): 2/4/5%
6. Members of Scouts and Guides/NCC/NSS in last three years: 5%
7. Research in Panchayats of rural areas in last three years: 15%
How to register:
1. Visit the ISRO Space Jigyasa platform.
2. Register yourself by providing required details.
3. Verify your registration.
4. Participate in the space quiz.
5. After the successful completion of the quiz, fill in your personal details.
6. Upload a digital copy of the certificate for verification purposes.
7. Scan and upload the necessary documents.
8. Submit the application form.
