7 Bollywood flicks to Netflix and chill with your date this month

The lineup of Indie movies is pretty lit for October with a mixed bag of something old, something new and something blue

Mumbai: The fall chill is almost here. So, if you are looking to cosy up with your bae for a Netflix and chill session, here are all the stuff coming on the streaming website this month. 

No, none of them star the unofficial Netflix mascot, Radhika Apte. 

October 1: Wake Up Sid

Feeling existential crisis? Check out this story of a spoilt trust fund brat (Ranbir Kapoor) finds himself stuck in a rut of meaningless late-night parties until he meets an older woman and writer (Konkona Sen). 

October 1: Khoobsurat

If you can't deal with not seeing Fawad Khan on the screen for a while now, this is a good way to relive those days. And, of course, if you don't really need a reason to watch fairytale-esque dramas. A free-spirited doctor (Sonam Kapoor) is hired to assist an injured king (Fawad Khan) and winds up challenging his family's tradition-bound lifestyle as she falls for him. 

October 1: Delhi 6

With great music, this movie is a must-watch for great times. In the ancient walled city of Delhi, an American-born Indian (Abhishek Bachchan) finds himself on an unexpected inner journey as he learns about himself and falls in love with a local girl (Sonam Kapoor).

October 1: Udaan

A feel-good award-winning movie deals with the existential dilemmas of the youth. Bonus point, it is roughly based on the real life of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Upon returning to his industrial hometown, a young man (Rajat Barmecha)must decide whether to follow his own dreams or accept his father's plans for the future.  

October 1: Dev.D

A cult dark romantic comedy, how can you not watch this? Because they come from different castes, the son of a tax collector (Abhay Deol) and his true love (Mahi Gill) are not allowed to marry, sending them down divergent paths.  

October 15: Sanju

A biographical film about the extraordinary of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, his drug addiction, alleged association with the 1993 Bombay bombings, jail term and more. A decent watch, in case you missed it. 

October 21: Soorma

Calling all  Diljit Dosanjh fans for this biographical sports drama film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh, played by Dosanjh.
