According to Rachana Rhythm, International Women's Day is just another way to keep society reminding of the true worth of women and the strength of womanhood.

For years, 8th March is celebrated as International Women’s Day all over the world. The day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while highlighting the problems they face in day-to-day life as well as in their professional environment.

The day also marks a call to take action for accelerating gender parity. To commemorate this day various events take place in almost every corner of the world. For many people, the role of women is limited to household chores only. However, this needs to change as women deserve equal freedom and opportunities in everything like men. The world is moving towards gender equality.

Renowned author duo Rachana Shah and Rhythm Wagholikar who have penned several books on some of the most iconic women that the Indian Subcontinent has witnessed took to their social media handle and wrote, “Dear friends, 8th March is celebrated as International Women’s Day! We do have this recurring question: why choose only one day to commemorate or celebrate a woman?"

"She is the true 'Shakti' and let's not contain this shakti or try to restrain her. The more she flourishes, the more we will progress as a race. A woman doesn't need to be empowered; she is a source of power within herself."

Well, the duo has given a strong message breaking stereotypes and encouraging women to find the power within.

They also shared a photograph with some exemplary women like Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawal, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Sindhu Tai Sapkal, and women at work.

According to Rachana Rhythm, International Women's Day is just another way to keep society reminding of the true worth of women and the strength of womanhood.
