UPSC Success: Rishabh Bhatt’s inspiring journey of overcoming failures

Rishabh completed his higher studies in engineering; however, he chose to pursue a career in civil services. He faced setbacks in his first two UPSC attempts in 2021 and 2022, but he refused to succumb to failures. In 2023, he achieved the remarkable rank of 363rd.

Rishabh Bhatt, a resident of Nathaipur village in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, has secured the 363rd rank in UPSC CSE 2023 exams. He attended St Thomas School, Gopalganj, for his school education. He then prepared for engineering entrance exams and secured admission in NIT Bhopal. Subsequently, he embarked on his UPSC journey. After two unsuccessful attempts in 2021 and 2022, he accomplished his dreams in his third attempt. 

Rishabh’s inspiration

Rishabh Bhatt was disappointed after two consecutive failures. It was during this challenging time that he found solace and inspiration from the teachings of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. Realizing that he had no control over the outcomes, he focused on his actions alone. Rishabh’s family provided him with immense support. 

UPSC journey

Rishabh completed his higher studies in engineering; however, he chose to pursue a career in civil services. During the time when he dedicated himself to UPSC preparation, his peers were flourishing in their careers, which led to doubts creeping into his mind about his success. He shares that it is crucial to maintain a positive mindset during such times. He believes that while it is a common struggle, everyone must overcome it in their own way. 

Family’s support and study tips for aspirants

Rishabh’s father serves as the headmaster of Shanti Shiksha Sadan School, and his mother, is a homemaker. He gives the credit of his success to the unwavering support of his family. Furthermore, he emphasizes the importance of maintaining confidence and working hard. Fearing the competition would not help one bit. Aspirants must focus on their preparation and performance, as they are a sure way to success.
