Success story: Village boy secures AIR 5 in BPSC; brings hopes and joy to family

Vineet Anand secured the fifth rank in the BPSC exam despite facing personal challenges. After losing his father at a young age, he persevered with the support of his mother and sisters, achieving success in his fourth attempt through dedicated study and strategic planning.

Vineet Anand from Saran district has secured the fifth rank in the 69th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam. Hailing from Pakri village in Mashrakh block, Vineet achieved this remarkable feat through sheer determination, despite facing numerous challenges. Even after the loss of his father, he remained focused on his dreams and refused to give up. His journey is a true inspiration for the youth. Remarkably, Vineet accomplished this success through the Hindi medium.

Background

Vineet's father, the late Avdesh Tiwari, who served in the army, passed away when Vineet was young. After his father's demise, Vineet's mother, Manju Devi, became the sole provider for the family. She encouraged her children to strive for success and progress. Vineet has three older sisters, all of whom have supported and guided him throughout his journey. One of his sisters is serving as a Sub-Inspector in Sheikhpura.

BPSC journey

Vineet completed his early education at Mahant Ramswaroop Vidyalaya in Bahuara Mashrak, his village. For further studies, he moved to Delhi University, where he completed his graduation. While in Delhi, Vineet began preparing for the BPSC exam. Securing the fifth rank in the BPSC exam wasn't easy for him; it was his fourth attempt. He dedicated four to five hours daily to his studies, maintaining strict discipline. Vineet credits the support of his mother and sisters as being vital to his success.

Success mantra

Vineet adopted a well-planned strategy for his success. He focused primarily on his graduation subjects and optional subjects, while also making a habit of reading newspapers daily to stay updated on current affairs and making notes for better preparation. He efficiently divided his study time, prioritising difficult subjects and revising them regularly. He also took mock tests and thoroughly studied previous years' question papers to improve his performance.
