Hailing from a humble background in Kerala, twin sisters Ramsina and Rizana Rashid defied the odds to achieve their dreams of pursuing higher education at the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology. Their story is a testament to the power of hard work and determination in overcoming adversity.

While many aspire to accomplish something significant, only a few succeed in turning their dreams into reality. The journey can be tough, and there are times when circumstances become so challenging that one's determination begins to falter. Yet, in such moments, the inspiring story of Kerala's twins, Ramsina and Rizana Rashid, shines through.

Background

Ramsina and Rizana hail from a humble family in Kerala, where their father makes a living by driving an autorickshaw. Despite financial hardships, the twin sisters shared a dream of pursuing higher education and successfully made it a reality. Today, both are receiving admiration and blessings for their accomplishments.

Education

Ramsina earned a BTech degree in electrical engineering from IIT Roorkee, while Rizana pursued aerospace engineering at IIT Kharagpur. Their success has not only been a personal achievement but also serves as an inspiration to other girls who may have abandoned their dreams due to challenging circumstances.

Achievements

Ramsina shares that in 2017, they both passed the JEE Advanced exam, with her securing an All India Rank of 4185 and her sister achieving a rank of 9000. By doing so, these twin sisters overcame a challenging national-level entrance exam and gained admission to IIT.

Admission to IITs

To gain admission through JEE Advanced, students must first pass the JEE Main exam. Only those who clear JEE Main are eligible to sit for JEE Advanced, and securing high scores in both exams is necessary for admission to IITs. Ramsina and Rizana’s journey shows that with hard work and dedication, any challenge can be surmounted.
