Success stories often inspire us with enthusiasm and excitement. However, when success follows numerous setbacks, it becomes a true example of perseverance. One such story is that of Abhinandan Yadav, who hails from Khojpur village in Ghazipur district. Despite failing 16 times, he never gave up on his dreams and ultimately achieved success by passing the UPSC Assistant Commandant exam in 2024. Let us explore his motivational journey.
Abhinandan Yadav’s parents were determined to provide him with a quality education. Despite the limited resources in their village and their humble background, they spared no effort in supporting their son's academic journey. After completing his class 10, Abhinandan moved to Kota for his class 12 studies. In 2018, he secured admission to IIT Guwahati, where he successfully completed his graduation.
Abhinandan began preparing for government exams alongside his graduation. From 2017 to 2024, he cleared the written exam of the SSB (Services Selection Board) 16 times, but faced rejection in the interview each time. However, each failure motivated him to improve. He carefully identified his weaknesses and focused on addressing them, particularly by working on his communication skills and building his self-confidence.
After graduating in 2022, Abhinandan secured a job in a private company in Gurugram. Coming from a village, adjusting to city life and speaking in English proved challenging for him, but he embraced it as a personal challenge. Despite working 12 hours a day, he made time for his studies. His daily routine involved cooking his own meals, managing his time efficiently, and dedicating himself to regular study, all of which significantly boosted his confidence.
Despite failing the SSB interview 16 times, Abhinandan never gave up. With each failure, he focused on improving himself. In 2024, his relentless hard work paid off when he successfully cleared the UPSC Assistant Commandant exam. This achievement was the culmination of years of perseverance and dedication. Before this success, he had been working as an Auditor under the SSC CGL.
