Four years ago, the state had just 9 billionaires, but that figure has now surged to 36, according to the latest billionaire list from Hurun Rich List. These entrepreneurs from UP have achieved remarkable success through their own efforts, earning recognition and respect on a global scale.

Most are 11 businessmen from Noida

In the Hurun India Rich List 2024, 11 businessmen from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, have made their mark. This list also features industrialists from other cities, including Kanpur, Agra, and the state capital, Lucknow. This is a significant increase from 2020, when only 9 businessmen from Uttar Pradesh were included in the Hurun Rich List.

Muralidhar became a billionaire in 36 years

Murlidhar Gyanchandani made a notable leap in the recently released Hurun Global Rich List 2024, moving from a rank of 2451 in 2023 to 1632 this year. His brother, Bimal Gyanchandani, is also among the wealthiest in Uttar Pradesh, ranking as the second richest in the state.
