Meet Pavan Davuluri, an IIT alumnus who is the new chief of Microsoft Windows and Surface

Pavan Davuluri has been appointed as the head of both groups Microsoft Windows and Surface. He pursued a graduation degree at the prestigious IIT Madras. Following this, he earned a postgraduate degree from the University of Maryland in the USA.

Pavan Davuluri has assumed the role as the new Microsoft Windows and Surface Chief. Previously, this position was held by Panos Panay, who left the company and joined the e-commerce giant Amazon. Pavan Davuluri is making the headlines for assuming a top role in this multinational technology corporation.

Pavan Davuluri has been appointed as the head of both groups Microsoft Windows and Surface. Media reports suggest that he will now report directly to Rajesh Jha, the executive vice president of Microsoft’s Experiences and Devices Group. 

Education

Pavan Davuluri pursued a graduation degree from the prestigious IIT Madras. Following this, he earned a postgraduate degree from the University of Maryland in the USA. After completing his studies, Pavan embarked on his professional career at Microsoft. He has been working at Microsoft for a glorious tenure of 23 years. 

Pavan Davuluri’s expertise

The information about Pavan Davuluri’s recent appointment was disclosed in an internal communication from Rajesh Jha. The latter highlighted that the company would excel in producing Windows clients and cloud devices for the evolving AI era under Pavan Davaluri’s leadership. Pavan will lead the teams and directly report to Rajesh Jha. Moreover, the Windows team will continue working closely with AI, Silicon, and the Microsoft AI team.
