Arendra’s business outlet sells over 15 types of products made from sugarcane. He has made a lot of profit and earns in lakhs throughout the year. He hopes to educate more farmers about his farming techniques to become self-reliant.

Muradabad: Around eight years ago, Arendra ditched the use of fertilizers and adopted natural farming methods. It required diligence but with some months of patience, he was able to grow all kinds of vegetables and crops. At heart, Arendra is an honest man; when he could successfully grow his crops at minimum expenses, he wanted to share the news with his fellow farmers. But the fertilizer companies were not too thrilled about his approach to farming, they urged him to keep his farming practices to himself rather than educating other farmers about it. However, Arendra did not pay heed to their misleading policies and started educating other farmers about natural and advanced farming methods. He wanted the best for himself and his fellows.

Millet laddoos from sugarcane juice

Arendra grows various kinds of crops, sugarcane being the most cultivated one. He is not only a good farmer, but he also knows how to handle his business smartly and strategically. He uses sugarcane juice to make millet laddoos, vinegar, ice cream, sugar syrups, herbal tea and jalebis. His fellow farmers regard highly of him and believes that he has brought a revolution in farming techniques.

Role of social media in Arendra’s farming

Arendra had always dreamt of bringing in most efficient farming techniques. It was only a matter of time when he could actually inform people about the advanced methods of farming. In this regards, social media came in handy for him; he used social media to his advantage and learned about new information about the farming world at the swerve of his fingertips. He joined an organization called ‘Celebrating Farmers’ and received training there through video lessons.

Arendra asserts that agricultural products are far too expensive for farmers who work on their fields after being burdened with debt. He realizes his responsibility and shares the best of information he can through his social media accounts.

He educates farmers on how to use the products and raw materials they already have, efficiently and produce the best results out of them. He gives an instance that if a farmer owns 50 acres of land, then he must only use half of the land for cultivation purposes while employing his farming techniques.

This way, the produce would be of better quality and the farmers can sell them in their local markets.

A network of 8 states

All of Arendra’s crops are produced naturally and no form of artificial chemical fertilizers are used. He is currently working with farmers across eight states and wishes for more farmers to join hands with him in this farming revolution.

His aim is to help farmers live a life free of debt and make profit by selling their crops that they work hard on all round the year. Arendra has an outlet in Vikas Bhawan and his products sell in good numbers.
