Started as a small cafe in Indore in 2016 by two graduates, Chai Sutta Bar is now a Rs. 150 crore chain with 550 outlets in 300+ cities in India, UAE, Nepal, and Oman.
When Anubhav Dubey pitched the idea for a Chai-centric cafe to his family, it was a complete 180 from what they had planned for him, which was civil services. But he had confidence in his idea and did not give up on it.
That little idea is now a Rs. 150 crore franchise spread in India, Dubai, and Oman, with no plans to stop. This is the journey to success of Chai Sutta Bar, a chain of cafes founded by Anubhav Dubey and Anand Nayak.
Anubhav Dubey was born in 1996 in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. After his graduation, he attempted to qualify for Civil Service Examinations (CSE), but after several failures, he realised his true passion lies in entrepreneurship.
In 2016, he and his fellow graduate Anand Nayak marked the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. Despite limited resources, the duo was able to secure around Rs. 3 lakh to set up their first Chai Sutta Bar. It was intentionally located near a girls' hostel in Indore to grab young chai-lovers' attention.
Chai Sutta Bar is a no-smoke cafe with the aim of providing the essence of a bar with delicious and healthy teas in Kulhads. The company believes in serving India's to-go beverage, tea, in an environmentally friendly and traditional way using Kulhads. The main concept the company embraces is 'Taste The Kulhad Chai'.
Rahul Patidar later joined the team and since then the company has been riding the wave of achievements, expanding all over the globe. According to the company, its vision is to spread the taste and aroma of India to the world.
The example of Chai Sutta Bar and its success inspires thousands of young entrepreneurs to work hard toward their dreams and keep going until they reach their goals.
