Man Mistaken for 'Dead Body' Floating in Pond Actually Found Taking a Nap [WATCH]

A tired quarry worker in Telangana fell asleep in a pond, causing locals to panic. When they tried to rescue him, he woke up, leaving everyone amused.

In Telangana's Hanamkonda’s Reddypuram Kovelakuntla area, locals were surprised to find a man seemingly motionless in a pond. They alerted authorities and paramedics, concerned for his well-being. The man, a quarry worker, had been lying still in the water for about five hours.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue the man. In a video shared on social media, a policeman is seen attempting to pull the shirtless man out of the pond. As the policeman carefully brought the "body" to shore, the man suddenly woke up and looked puzzled at being dragged from the water. The police and onlookers shared a chuckle at the unexpected turn of events.

The video quickly went viral, drawing laughter from viewers. One user mentioned watching it multiple times and still finding it hilarious.

According to reports, the man, a resident of Kavali in Nellore District, had decided to take a nap in the water to alleviate his exhaustion. He explained to the police that he worked long hours at a granite plant in Kazipet and was extremely tired. "I work 12 hours a day. I was very tired," he said.

He further explained, "I wanted to relax for some time and so decided to lie in the water for some time."

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of taking breaks and resting, especially after long and tiring workdays. It also highlights the power of social media in spreading light-hearted moments and bringing people together through shared laughter.
