Aditya Mohan Sinha from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, achieved the 29th rank in UPSC 2023, Central Armed Police Forces (AC) examination. He was inspired by his grandfather Krishna Mohan Prasad Sinha, who used to work as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). He left his startup after completing his engineering to focus of UPSC preparation.
Inspiration
Aditya Mohan Sinha has secured the position of an Assistant Commandant. He shares he felt inspired each time he saw the picture of his grandfather in uniform at home. Aditya’s father, Amar, was initially worried about whether his son would secure a government job. However, Aditya’s hard work paid off. Amar had also aspired to join the police service like his father, but he couldn’t achieve that dream. Now, his son has fulfilled it for home.
Education
After completing his Electrical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Aditya got a job placement and also started a startup in Bengaluru with his friends. However, his dream to join the police service led him to leave his job and return home to prepare for the UPSC exam.
Achieving dreams
Aditya Mohan cleared the UPSC exam on his first attempt but did not pass the physical test. He then began preparing for a second attempt, learning from his previous shortcomings. This time, he secured the 29th rank in the Sahastra Seema Bal. Aditya credits his success to self-study, patience, hard work, and the immense support of his family.
