Premsukh Delu's inspiring journey from a humble village boy to an IPS officer highlights his determination, hard work, and unwavering pursuit of success against adversity.

Premsukh Delu, born on April 3, 1988, in the small village of Raisar, Bikaner, Rajasthan, grew up in a farming family. His father drove camel carts, struggling to make ends meet. Despite financial hardships, young Premsukh harbored dreams of securing a government job to uplift his family from poverty. Balancing cattle grazing with his studies, he showed remarkable determination to rise above his circumstances.

Academic Achievements
Despite a challenging background, Premsukh excelled academically. His hard work paid off when he secured 12 government jobs within six years. Initially appointed as a Patwari in Bikaner, he refused to settle. His ambition led him to compete in various exams, ultimately achieving the second rank in the Gram Sevak Examination conducted by the Rajasthan State.

Pursuit of a Higher Calling
Though offered the role of Sub Inspector in the Rajasthan Police, Premsukh sought greater challenges. He opted for the position of Assistant Jailor after passing the Rajasthan Assistant Prison Examination. He also turned down offers for Tehsildar and college lecturer roles to serve as a school lecturer in the education department, all while eyeing his ultimate goal—becoming an IPS officer.

Triumph in UPSC
Determined to achieve his dreams, Premsukh prepared diligently for the UPSC exams. His perseverance bore fruit in 2015 when he cracked the exam on his second attempt, securing an All India Rank of 170. Allocated to the Gujarat cadre, he began his career as ACP in Amreli and is now the Superintendent of Police in Jamnagar.
