Rikant Pittie’s EasyMyTrip made a profit of approximately Rs 140 crore in 2023. In the year 2021, he received funds for the company from the stock market. When Rikant was 16 years old, he ventured into the business world along with his brother. Together, they established a small business which soon evolved into a successful enterprise. The beginnings
Rikant Pittie’s interest in business sparked from his father’s successful business ventures. His father frequently travelled by air and had to pay an additional Rs 1500 for ticket bookings. Rikant, still a student at the time, took the matters into his own hands and began booking his father’s flight tickets personally. As the word spread around, more and more people began approaching Rikant for booking their flights. Even the airlines proposed Rikant to become a travel agent for them. Seizing the opportunity on time, Rikant established a travel agency named Duke Travels.
A successful business journey
In the year 2008, Rikant and his brother embarked on their journey. Initially, they operated from a humble one-bedroom apartment in Delhi with an investment of Rs 15 lakh. In 2011, the company boasted 11,000 associated agents and a business worth Rs 364 crore. To increase the company’s reach, they directly engaged with customers and introduced attractive offers and deals. Remarkably, the company observed significant growth by 2015 achieving a business of Rs 1500 crore. After the company’s IPO in 2021, Rikant Pittie’s business soared to the heights of success.
