After his childhood breakup, Aditya Pandey promised to become an IAS officer. Despite experiencing two setbacks, he secured the 48th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam.
Here's a captivating tale of resilience. Aditya Pandey, a resident of Bihar, conquered the UPSC exam after enduring heartbreak. His journey mirrors that of the protagonist in the Bollywood film 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana', portrayed by Rajkumaar Rao, who also becomes an IAS officer post-heartbreak. Despite facing failure twice, Aditya persisted and eventually succeeded on his third attempt.
Education
Aditya Pandey hails from Vishnupur village in Patna, Bihar. He was pursuing his school studies from Jamnagar, and he excelled academically in class 8 and 9 but faced a setback when he fell in love during his class 10, affecting his performance. Concerned about his studies, his father sent him back to Patna. Aditya continued his education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh, and everything seemed on track until he experienced a heartbreaking breakup with his girlfriend.
UPSC journey
Aditya’s father urged him to pursue engineering, so he obtained a degree in Electronics and Communication from LPU, Punjab. After his childhood breakup, he had promised to become an IAS officer. Therefore, when he completed his graduation, he embarked on his UPSC journey.
Exam preparation
Aditya had no interest in an engineering career. He pursued an MBA from IIT Roorkee in the year 2018. While studying, he secured a job in a private bank’s marketing team, gaining significant corporate experience. However, feeling dissatisfied, he resigned from his job after 16 months in January 2020 to focus on preparing for the UPSC exam.
Accomplishing dreams
He faced consecutive failures in the UPSC exams of 2020 and 2021. Despite the setbacks and some negative remarks from his fellows, he persisted in his preparation. Eventually, he achieved success, securing the 48th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam, fulfilling his dream of becoming an IAS officer.
