Divya Mittal, an IAS officer from Rewari, Haryana, stands as a remarkable example of academic and professional achievement. She is one of the few who has conquered the three most challenging exams in India: the UPSC, JEE, and CAT. Her journey reflects a blend of academic excellence and relentless determination.

Mittal began her academic career by earning an engineering degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. She then pursued an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, further solidifying her academic credentials. Her impressive qualifications landed her a lucrative job in London, but her passion for public service led her to make a significant life change. Leaving behind her high-paying job, Mittal returned to India with her husband, Gagandeep Singh, to follow her UPSC aspirations.

Remarkably, Divya Mittal cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination on her first attempt without any formal coaching, initially securing a position as an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Undeterred by her initial success, she attempted the UPSC again and achieved the 68th rank in the 2012 examination. This time, her hard work paid off as she was appointed as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.

Currently serving as the District Magistrate (DM) of Sant Kabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, Divya has previously held the position of DM in Mirzapur. Her husband, Gagandeep Singh, is also an IAS officer, currently posted in Kanpur. In her advice to aspiring candidates, Divya Mittal underscores the importance of focus and determination. She recommends that candidates regularly monitor their app and phone usage to avoid distractions, which can hinder academic progress.
