Devita's father, Rajkumar Saraf, is counted among the prominent businessmen of Mumbai. He was the chairman of Zenith Computers and started teaching his daughter business tactics from a young age. The family's business environment deeply influenced her. But her dream was not just to follow in her father's footsteps, but to create her own identity.

Dreaming big

Devita pursued her higher studies in America. Apart from graduating from the University of Southern California, she also did an online programme management course from Harvard Business School. At the age of just 21, she took over as the Marketing Director of Zenith Computers. Even though she got a high position in her father's company, her dream was to achieve success on her own.

Launching a business at 24

In 2006, at just 24 years old, Devita embarked on a new venture by founding Vu Televisions. At that time, the market for high-end, premium televisions was still emerging in India. Undeterred, Devita was confident in her vision. She concentrated on delivering exceptional customer service and cutting-edge technology, which helped Vu Televisions gradually establish a strong presence in the Indian market.

Vu Televisions 

When Vu Televisions launched its 84-inch TV in 2012, it was a major breakthrough for the Indian technology market. This TV not only had excellent screen and visuals but also worked as both a TV and a computer. This marked Vu Televisions' pivotal move toward becoming a premium brand, a milestone achieved through Devita Saraf's unwavering passion, visionary leadership, and relentless hard work. According to the Hurun India 2024 report, Devita Saraf has been recognized as the richest self-made woman entrepreneur in India, with assets valued at Rs 3,000 crore.
