Who is Deepak Singh?
Deepak Singh is a resident of Semrai village located in Ramnagar of Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh. His father. Ashok Kumar works as a farmer, and his mother, Krishna Singh is a homemaker. He completed his early education from Maharani Lakshmi Bai Inter College in the year 2014. He pursued his graduation in History and Public Administration from Lucknow University, on the encouragement of his family.
Studying and working
After completing his graduation in 2018, he appeared for competitive examinations and was selected as a constable in the UP Police. He was posted in Hardoi district after training. He did 8 hours of duty every day and managed to devote 5 to 6 hours to his studies. However, during extended duty hours, his study time was reduced to 2 to 3 hours. He set weekly targets, and diligently worked to achieve them.
Mobile phone as a valuable resource
Deepak Singh acknowledges the dual nature of social media, recognizing its pros and cons. Despite its challenges, he found it to be a valuable resource for his preparation. Due to his inability to take leave from his job, he turned to mobile-based learning as his primary option. He accessed free lectures on YouTube and refrained from attending coaching classes throughout his journey. He further shares that he received valuable guidance from his senior officers.
Journey of perseverance
Deepak Singh appeared for the UPPSC exams for the first time in the year 2019 and could not achieve success. He faced failure in his second attempt in 2022, but he persevered. In 2023, he achieved an impressive 20th rank in the UPPSC examination. His approach involved meticulously reviewing the syllabus, analyzing previous year’s questions, and making concise notes of syllabus. For aspirants, Deepka Singh emphasizes the importance of multiple revisions and making notes and highlights inculcating a regular habit of reading.
