Divyansh was obsessed with playing video games. His parents were concerned and encouraged him to try physical games like shooting. Divyansh received training from Shooting Academy in Jaipur. Along with his teammates, he beat the China’s team, surpassed their record and won a gold medal for India.
Jaipur: The Indian team defeated the China’s team in Asian Games tournament of shooting. Divyansh, one of the teammates was born in Jaipur. He broke the world record and made his team win the tournament. This team of three friends not only won the gold for their country but they surpassed the record that was first set by China. Their families wait for them to return back to celebrate their victories.
The gold medal winners are Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudraksh Bala Saheb and Aishwarya Tomar. Together, they scored 1893.7 points and set the new world record. China’s earlier record was of 1893.3 points. Out of the total, Rudraksh scored 632.5, Aishwarya scored 631.6, and Divyansh scored 629.6 points. Divyansh has participated in several international tournaments before.
The inspiration
Divyansh’s father and mother work in the medical fields. They both work at SMS Hospital in Jaipur as medical staff. Divyansh received training from Shooting Academy in Jaipur.
Divyansh looks up to Abhinav Bindra, the first individual gold medal winner in the Olympic Games from India, as a source of inspiration. He also considers Purvi Chandel as his idol.
In the interview, Divyansh shared that a few years ago, he was addicted to playing video games, especially PUBG. His parents were concerned about him, and they suggested him to take up shooting. Divyansh fostered a likeness for the sports, trained hard, and went on to win a medal for his country.
