It is alleged that in particular scene, a Sikh is raping an elderly woman in front of other members of the community. As per Sirsa, it has “clandestinely denigrated the image of Sikhs all over the world”.
Terming the rape scene an “illegal and unlawful abuse of culture and faith” the legal notice states that the scene is “nothing but a mere abuse of religious sentiments of the Sikh community”.
It is now sought that the rape scene be deleted within just 24 hours. It is further sought that the filmmakers unconditionally apologise to the Sikh Sangat.
If the makers do not honour the demands of the legal notice, the senders will file civil and criminal proceedings against them.
The story of the series is written by Sudip Sharma, Sagar Haveli, Hardik Mehta and Gunjit Chopra and directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy.
Earlier, a few netizens were upset with the movie and had called for its boycott.
The viewers had even shared the videos and photos of a Hindu priest abusing two men, while a politician eats non-veg food with Hindu gods in the background
Anushka was even trolled for using imagery of Hindus as villains for her commercial gain following which #boycottpaatallok and #BoycottAmazon had trended on Twitter.
