Police complaints have been filed against Wall Street Journal for wrongly attributing the IB officer Ankit Sharma’s death to a rampaging mob that chanted Jai Shri Ram
Bengaluru: Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma was killed by a raging mob and his body thrown in a gutter.
His death is tragic and horrible. But the politics over his death continues.
Wall Street Journal also reported about the gory death of the IB officer.
But it gave a twist to the entire episode, saying a mob chanting Jai Shri Ram did him to death.
Police complaints have been filed with the Delhi police and the Maharashtra police.
Legal Rights Observatory has filed a complaint with the Maharashtra police. It has also demanded that WSJ withdraw the false claims and tender an apology.

The Journal also claims the IB officer’s brother Ankur Sharma gave a statement in this regard. But speaking to Prasar Bharati, his brother denied the claims.
“I never gave such a statement to Wall Street Journal. This is a ploy to defame my brother and my family. Wall Street Journal is lying”.

While there is a deliberate and sustained effort to paint Hindus badly, the Delhi police have filed an FIR against Tahir Hussain, an AAP corporator, on whose terrace, deadly weapons likes petrol cans, acid packets and stones were stocked to attack people.
While he is absconding, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has suspended him.
Reports add that the AAP leader’s neighbours saying that a large number of people had congregated at his house, with a wilful attempt to hurt others.
Postmortem reports of the dead IB officer claim that he had been stabbed multiple times before his death.
The IB officer had just returned home on that day and decided to meet both Hindus and Muslims and arrange a truce.
A popular website added that while Hindus were easily placated, the Muslim mob attacked him.
His body was found in a drain near the AAP leader’s house.
