General elections are going to be held in India from 19 April 2024 to 1 June 2024. Election Commission of India provides convenient online service to search the names in the voter list. Before the election date, you can use this service to find out which polling booth you have to visit to cast your vote. Let’s learn about the steps involved.
To check your name in the voter list, visit the website of Election Commission of India at https://voters.eci.gov.in/. Go to the ‘Services’ section on her home page, where you will find an option ‘Search Voter List.’ After choosing this option, a new page will appear. Three different methods to check your name in the voter list will be presented on the new window. Let’s explore these three different ways.
Option 1- Search by details
If you select this option, you will need to provide your personal information in the provided form. After filling in all the required details, enter the captcha code and click on the search button. If the provided information is found correct, then you will receive your voter details. This will confirm that your name is listed in the voter list.
Option 2- Search by EPIC
You can also find your name in the voter list by proceeding with the second option. Select your preferred language and then enter your EPIC number. Next, select your state, enter the captcha code, and click on the search button. Your voter details will appear on the screen.
Option 3- Search by phone number
You can also search for your voter details using your mobile number. While choosing this option, make sure that your mobile number is registered with your Voter ID card. Proceed by entering your mobile number and captcha code. After successful submission, you will be able to see your voter details.
