In a display of Indian ingenuity, a Bengaluru woman's unconventional use of her phone while riding a scooter has ignited discussions on safety after a viral video showcased her 'Desi Jugaad'. While Indian creativity is often celebrated, this particular instance has raised eyebrows due to the safety implications of multitasking on the road.

Shared on social media platform 'X' by @3rdEyeDude, the footage captures the woman's innovative approach as she devised a 'hands-free' solution using a simple scarf. By securing her phone to her head with the scarf, she managed to keep it in place during her journey. The makeshift hands-free setup drew attention for its uniqueness, resembling a polythene bag tied at the top, even though transformed into a cloth-based device in this case.

Despite the amusement sparked by the video, valid concerns surfaced regarding the risks of distracted driving.

Originally posted on Instagram, the clip has triggered a safety discourse, questioning the woman's actions considering the presence of traffic police and AI cameras in the city. Described as "innovation" by some and "stupidity" by others, the incident near Vidyaranyapura, opposite NTI grounds in Bengaluru on March 26 at 5 p.m., prompted calls for investigation by Bengaluru police.

Online reactions varied, with one user highlighting the seriousness of endangering lives and another criticizing the practice for its potential hazards, particularly when combined with neckband earphones that may block surrounding sounds, leading to reckless driving behavior.

With over 16K views since it was posted, this video has really stirred up a range of reactions from everyone who's seen it. It has also highlighted something important: the need for road safety, even when we're caught up in exciting and innovative things like this one.

Absolutely hilarious way of using phone while riding a two wheeler, caught on camera 🤯 This was uploaded on Instagram few days ago. I wonder how the lady even thought of doing this when the traffic police is stationed pretty much everywhere in the city and AI cameras installed… pic.twitter.com/HSjIbiqOG0
