Uttar Pradesh man reads book for 27 hours to set Guinness World Record

Uttar Pradesh’s Allauddin read a book for 27 hours and five minutes without taking food break or toilet break and has won an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records. He broke the record made by Yateesh Chandra Shukla of Lakhimpur Khari. He had read the book for 24 hours

Kanpur: A man read continuous for 27 hours and five minutes to create a new Guinness World Record and also entered the Golden Book of Records.

Allauddin was given the task of reading continuously for 24 hours and five minutes by the Golden Book of Records. But he surpassed the task and read the book for over 27 hours.

Based out of Biharipur in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Allauddin completed his Class 12 in 2014. He is currently pursuing a course in Chatrapathi Sahu Ji Maharaj University in Kanpur. Allauddin conducts coaching for students to pay his fee.

Mahesh Vishnoi from Delhi had come as the observer from the Golden Book of Records. Allauddin started reading the book on Sunday morning (August 25) at 10.07 am. He continued reading without taking a break. He completed the task on Monday at 1.07 pm.

With this, Allauddin is the winner of the record for single longest marathon reading. So much so that he did not even change his position of sitting till he completed the task.

Allauddin broke the record made by Yateesh Chandra Shukla from Lakhimpur Khari. Yatheesh had read the book continuously for 24 hours.

"I am from a poor family. I wanted to do something that my parents and family would be respected by the people. I want to make my family proud," said Allauddin after setting the record.
