Union home minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for National Highway projects in Lucknow on Thursday while gracing the occasion for water-related projects with Union minister for road transport and highways, shipping and water resources, river development and ganga rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari
New Delhi/Lucknow: Union home minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for National Highways projects worth Rs 1,10,154 crore in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh today (Thursday, March 07).
The home minister will inaugurate several works under the Namami Gange programme worth over Rs 1,969.57 crore as well.
The home minister will be accompanied by Union minister for road transport and highways, shipping and water resources, river development and ganga rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari and state chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
The National Highways to be inaugurated include expansion of these roads to four-lanes:
These roads are being widened to two lanes with paved shoulders:
And reconstruction and upgrade of Sisiya-Nanpara section on NH-730.
Singh will also lay the foundation stone for construction of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway.

The detailed project reports (DPRs) for various projects will be initiated on the occasion.
The minister will also inaugurate several projects of laying of sewerage network under Namami Gange programme:
In all these projects, sewerage will be collected from households and will be lifted to STPs directly.

Apart from these, foundation stones will be laid for I&D of drains and 63 MLD STPs in Barelli along river Ramganga and I&D of drains and 15 MLD STP in Kasganj along river Kali.
