Uttar Pradesh: BJP leader Rakesh Sharma shot dead, assailants on the run

Hapur: BJP Mandal Secretary Rakesh Sharma was shot dead by unidentified assailants who came on car on Monday morning. Nakabandi has been set up and security beefed up in the district.

Rakesh was on bike on his way to workplace  on Monday morning when three men jumped out of the car stopped him, and shot him dead. They fled the place immediately and are absconding.

Rakesh Sharma was a resident of Karanpur in the Dhaulana Police Station limits. He was working as D4 worker in Janta Inter College at Chajjupur. The incident occurred when he was going to the college. His bike was stopped near Sapnawat police station and miscreants fired at him.

Rakesh Sharma was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead.

Police officer Sarvesh Kumar Mishra visited the hospital and took stock of the situation. he said that investigation is on and that the accused will be arrested soon.

BJP members have demanded that the accused should be arrested as soon as possible.
