The UP International Trade Show 2024, scheduled from September 25th to 29th, is poised to be a 'global festival' for Uttar Pradesh's traditional entrepreneurs.
The Yogi government is committed to transforming Uttar Pradesh into an 'Entrepreneur State'. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been consistently branding the state's products at every platform. Entrepreneurs here are being given the opportunity to brand their products through various events. In this sequence, the UP International Trade Show- 2024 (UPITS- 2024), to be held from September 25 to 29, will be a 'global festival' for the state's traditional entrepreneurs. For this, more than 270 entrepreneurs of local and traditional products from Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi zones have registered under various categories so far. This process will be further expedited in the coming days.
A platform for entrepreneurs
The registered entrepreneurs are working in various sectors including handloom, terracotta, handicrafts, small scale industries, MSME, ODOP. They will participate in this grand event. At the same time, new exporters, artisans and women entrepreneurs are also very enthusiastic and confident about participating in this event.
44 artisans from Varanasi division to participate in UPITS
44 artisans, new exporters and women entrepreneurs from Varanasi division have registered to participate in the international trade fair. Joint Commissioner of Industries Department Umesh Singh said that 20 entrepreneurs will participate under the One District One Product scheme from 4 districts of Varanasi division namely Varanasi, Chandauli, Jaunpur and Ghazipur.
16 entrepreneurs belonging to micro, small and medium enterprises (like wooden toys, blue pottery, mats, beverages, medical products, biofertilizers, masala noodles and pan masala industry) will also participate. A total of 44 entrepreneurs, including 8 new exporters from Banarasi silk saree and woolen industry, have registered to participate in the event.

134 artisans, new exporters and women entrepreneurs from Agra division have registered to participate in UPITS 2024. This includes 51 from Agra, 23 from Mathura, 56 from Firozabad and 04 from Mainpuri. This includes exporters like Tower Footwear, Gupta Overseas, Stoneman from Agra. Significantly, a large platform will be provided to the traditional handicrafts and modern products of Braj region through this event. Similarly, five from Gorakhpur (four terracotta and readymade garments), six from MSME and two entrepreneurs from the export category have registered from ODOP. Moreover, a total of four registrations have been made in Kushinagar district including ODOP and MSME, while five in Maharajganj and three entrepreneurs in Deoria have registered.
7 entrepreneurs registered in Prayagraj
A total of 7 entrepreneurs have registered in Prayagraj, including 03 entrepreneurs belonging to MSME category. These entrepreneurs will be provided stalls at concessional rates in the trade fair. This includes M/s. Ikao Agro Dairy Private Limited, M/s. RD Enterprises, M/s. Munir Ali and M/s. Happy Culture. Similarly, MSME categories include M/s. Mace Overseas Private Limited and M/s. Vishnu Sales.
3 entrepreneurs from Ayodhya district have also registered to participate in this event. 4 from ODOP from Ambedkar Nagar, 2 from MSME and 1 from ODOP from Sultanpur, 4 from MSME and 2 from ODOP from Barabanki and 2 entrepreneurs related to ODOP products from Amethi will get a chance to participate in UPITS 2024.
10 entrepreneurs from Jhansi, Lalitpur and Jalaun to participate
10 entrepreneurs from three districts of Jhansi division namely Jhansi, Lalitpur and Jalaun will participate with their products in UPITS 2024. So far 1 from Jalaun, 2 from Lalitpur and 7 entrepreneurs from Jhansi have applied to participate in the trade fair. Akash Niranjan from Jalaun district, Saroj Singh, Janme Bund from Lalitpur district and Neelam Sahu, Shivani Bundela, Niharika Talwar, Yogendra Arya, Manohar Lal, Aruna Sharma and Nikhil Sahu from Jhansi district will participate in the trade fair. In the trade fair, these entrepreneurs will display products related to handloom, wood, export, horticulture and home decor apart from the products related to One District One Product scheme. Similarly, 22 entrepreneurs from various sectors in Bareilly, 3 from Badaun, 4 from Pilibhit and 3 entrepreneurs from Shahjahanpur are participating. Overall, 32 entrepreneurs from Bareilly division have so far confirmed their participation in UPITS 2024.
Banarasi fabrics
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has revitalized the global presence of Banarasi fabrics through the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair 2024. Previously, Banarasi fabrics were sent abroad for design work, but the establishment of the NIFT campus in Varanasi has brought top-notch designers to the city. Last year's international trade fair saw a strong response from global buyers, and this year, the showcase promises even more impressive Banarasi fabrics and designs. A standout feature this time is the 'Ready to Wear Saree,' which has garnered significant interest from international women, young girls, and metropolitan fashion enthusiasts.
