He attended Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College in Mahmudabad. Shubham gives the credit of his success to the unwavering support of his parents and teachers. Shubham's father, Rajesh Kumar, is a farmer, while his mother, Saroj Kumari, is a homemaker.

Shubham Verma, the topper of class 12 UP board, dedicated 8 to 10 hours to his daily studies. During the exam period, he studied for 12 hours a day.
